Delete your Viewfinch account
You can delete your Viewfinch account and its data at any time. Viewfinch on the web, the Viewfinch mobile app and the Viewfinch Chrome extension share one account, so deleting it in one place deletes it everywhere.
In the Viewfinch app
- Open the app and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account at the bottom of the screen.
- Type your email to confirm, then tap Delete forever.
On the web
- Sign in and open Settings.
- Under Data & Privacy, choose Delete account.
- Type your email to confirm, then choose Delete forever.
Can’t sign in?
Email support@viewfinch.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We’ll check the request comes from you and delete the account within 30 days.
What is deleted, and what is kept
- Deleted straight away: your account and profile, the YouTube channels you connected and everything stored for them (videos, transcripts, comments, reply drafts, briefs, scheduled posts), your deals and invoices, settings, API keys, sessions and the devices registered for notifications.
- Kept for 7 years: billing records for Viewfinch subscriptions (subscription IDs, payment status and invoice details), because tax law requires it.
- Backups: deleted data drops out of our encrypted nightly backups within 30 days.
- Your YouTube channel is never touched. Deleting Viewfinch doesn’t delete anything on YouTube. To remove Viewfinch’s access to your Google account as well, open your Google Account’s third-party connections and remove Viewfinch.
Delete some data but keep the account
Disconnecting a channel in Settings → Channels deletes that channel and everything stored for it, and keeps the rest of your account.
